I wrote what I'll say is the most shameful, yet amusing application while on the airplane today.  It is for the TV show I utterly dread.

I wrote an American Idol text message blaster for Windows Mobile.  It hasn't been properly tested yet on a cell phone but should test it some time this week.

Well as much as I'd like to see it, I'm getting the "Get Microsoft Silverlight" graphic even though the Silverlight site indicates I have the latest version installed. This happens on 2 machines, each tested on both Firefox 2.0.0.11 and IE7 7.0.6000.16575

If you can't get this to run it's probably because you need the refresh version of the Silverlight 1.1 runtine. If you are running Mac you can get it here ->http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=88987&clcid=0x409 and if you are on Windows you can get it here->http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=88986&clcid=0x409.

Thanks Martin, I grabbed the 1.1 refresh and since it is deemed alpha, it appears to point you to the wrong installer, the 1.1 non-refresh. Using the installers Martin pointed out. The links are also at the top of this page.

Not sure how to tell the silverlight script to correct this. Mabye I have the wrong silverlight JS file for the refresh. I just did everything via VS and I know the SDK for 1.1 did have a new JS file.

I use VMware WorkStation...
All I get is the Silverlight Logo.

Fixed the Silverlight.Js, used the new version that is included with the 1.1 Refresh SDK so the proper installer will prompt now. Downloads are corrected also too.

I am getting a parse error - line 7 position 30 in page.xaml. This is with Silverlight Version: 2.0.30226.2 which should supercede 1.1
guess it breaks it. Any ideas?

Hey Andrew, I'm aware of this issue and actually am in the process of fixing it. It is directly due to me using the Alpha 1.1 release instead of the beta.

There was some breaking change between the alpha and beta. I'll have a fix this week.
